Scene Description: Wallace is getting ready for school and comes to get his lunch before he leaves. After he goes to catch the bus, his mother kills herself. After returning home from school, Wallace finds his mother on the floor with her suicide note.

- Mother: Release herself from all the pain she feels

Scene Description: Wallace is hiding from the shiva downstairs. His grandmother comes upstairs to check on him. Wallace explains to her how his mother didn’t kill herself and was murdered by pirates. His grandmother tries to comfort him.

Scene Description: Wallace and Victoria talk together on the playground. Victoria tries to ask Wallace about his mother’s death and he freaks out. She then attempts to comfort him and Wallace literally pushes her away.

- Wallace: Avoid talking about his mother

Wallace, although nervous, kisses her. He is shocked and says that he loves her, causing Victoria to run away because she is freaked out.

- Wallace: Get to know Victoria
- Victoria: Get Wallace to kiss her

Scene Description: Wallace desperately wants answers and comfort and his last resort is his old psychiatrist. He raves and rants about his feelings.

Characters: Wallace, Psychiatrist, Victoria, Grandmother
Scene Description: Wallace goes through the dream he has had for the past two months. It is a wild story about two 13 year olds who fall in love and the girl gets pregnant. The father becomes a boxer and the mother is trying to be Japanese. She ends up killing herself. Their long lost son who they gave up, comes and kisses his mother without knowing its his mom, and gets into a boxing match with his dad. Wallace leaves and when he comes back on stage everyone leaves.
Character Objectives:
- Wallace: Make himself sane
- Psychiatrist as Father: Beat Wallace for kissing his dead wife
- Victoria as Mother: Release herself from the pressure to be Japanese
- Grandmother as Fortune Teller: to warn those of impending doom
Design:
- Uncomfortable lighting
- Cartoon like sound effects
Ideas:
- A break in the fourth wall to show that Wallace’s sanity is deteriorating. He is explaining this dream to his psychiatrist? or just to the audience to show he has gone insane.

Wallace reflects on how he could never stop his mother’s death and he finally accepts he cannot change the past.
