PREVIEW!!! Everything went great today. We finally had a full cast thank god. Everyone needs to be a little bit more on their transitions but this rehearsal definitely helped everyone get back on track. The audience was so great for them and I cannot wait for everyone to see this show. I am so proud of all of the work that my actors did and could not have asked for a better experience.
Third Day of Tech!! We were missing two cast members today, Cam who is still sick and Andrea has class. Transitions were rougher but everyone’s acting was still doing great. I think they are definitely ready for the preview tomorrow.
Second run through/day of tech. Cam is sick now which isn’t great for transitions but everything went well besides that. Everyone is pulling their weight and they did a great job regardless.
The run through went well considering that Sami was sick and Caroline was absent. Everyone pulled through and did their best since two cast mates were missing. The notes are beginning to get less and less so that feels good.
First tech day!!! We did our first cue to cue and everything went really well. We did more transition work to make sure that everyone knew what they were doing before we went ahead with the cue to cue. That allowed for the run through to go so much faster and looked so much better. I am so happy with run through so far. It’s feeling like we finally have a real show and I cannot wait to see how it progresses through out the week.
I worked with Jon on his monologues and we really focused on how he carries himself in every monologue to convey age. We did a bunch of exercises to try and get Jon more comfortable and natural in his monologues. Then we did a transitions rehearsal to make sure that the transitions go as smoothe as possible. The transitions looked so much better and they felt a lot more comfortable with moving everything.
