I worked on the psychiatrist scenes, Scene 14, and Victoria scenes. Scene 14 improved IMMENSELY pace wise and everyone seemed a lot more comfortable with the blocking and their lines. Then for the Victoria scenes, I reworked the intimacy to make it more age appropriate and really worked on bringing in the age factor to scene 7. I had to remind them that since they were 13 they are naturally going to be more awkward and nervous. After talking about that the scene got much more realistic.

Rehearsal 13
I worked on the Lili, Wendy, Sarah, Nina and Mother scenes. Sydney was sick so we only marked the intimacy. I also worked on the drunken quality of Wendy and Wallace in the scene and I had Jon and Cam take things to a 10 and overexaggerate their motions so that they could feel drunk.
Rehearsal 12
We ran through the Grandma and Lili scenes today and it went well. We were just digging into the details of the scene and ironing out any awkward blocking. It is nice to have all of the set pieces finally except we need to finalize some props. The pacing has been getting a lot better and everyone seems to be getting more comfortable.
Rehearsal 11
Today was the day of the stumble through! We did blocking for the scene changes although we will be doing a formal transition rehearsal later to finalize everything. We then ran fight call and then the intimacy call. We did warms ups (tongue twisters and moved our bodies around to shake everything out) and then everyone got into places. The stumble through went well and I feel good about where we’re at. The pacing will come with more runs and I feel confident in everyone.
Rehearsal 10
I went through the fight choreography with Molly, Jon, Caroline and Sammi. I made sure that we went slowly at first and then built up speed. Then afterwards I did more intimacy work with Jon and Caroline for the kiss that is in scene 14. We then ran the scene twice. I then ran through Wallace’s monologues with Jon. We did a bunch of exercises to get Jon in the write mindset for his monologues and played around to get him more comfortable.
Rehearsal 9
I first ran the psychiatrist’s scenes and we did did some concrete blocking. I then got into scene 14 and I made sure I talked through the blocking with everyone before we got it to its feet. Because there are so many moving parts, I wanted to make sure that there wasn’t any confusion when we got the scene on its feet. Then afterwards we ran the Victoria and Wallace scenes and the intimacy and fight choreography that is in them. We marked at first and then built speed through mulitple runthroughs.
